The Shepley Group have donated over 50 toys and £500 to the Cash For Kids’ Mission Christmas appeal. The annual fundraiser aims to help disadvantaged children not miss out at Christmas. Currently there are one in three children who are living in poverty in Cumbria, and the appeal aims to make sure no child wakes up on Christmas morning without anything to open. No young person should wake up on Christmas morning without a present, and we want to play our part again this year in helping to ensure this will not happen for as many children as possible across the region this Christmas. Covid and the current cost of living crisis have plunged more families than ever into poverty. With many events and special occasions cancelled over the previous years, we want to help as many children as possible enjoy a little magic and receive a Christmas gift. David Henderson, Nuclear Business Manager, says “We have supported this appeal for many years, and are more than happy to do so again. Thanks to the generosity of our staff and to the Company for the donation, we can play a small part in giving some deserving children a little bit of Christmas cheer.
