Supply and Manufacture
Our comprehensive workshop facilities at Barrow in Furness have been responsible for the manufacture, testing and supply of a wide range of electrical and instrumentation infrastructure for over fifteen years.
We are able to offer a wealth of design support experience and therefore a value engineering service including constructability reviews and manufacturing advice.
Our scope includes the assembly and testing of a wide range of electrical and instrumentation cubicles, panels and junction boxes.
Resource Capability
A key aspect of the PPS service offering relates to the high levels of competence we retain across our resources. We currently have a total staff of roughly 200, including an appropriate balance of management, supervision and compliance (SHEQ) resources to support the skilled operative team.
All operatives have either completed the JIB ECS test (PPS are an assessment centre) or the CCNSG Safety Passport. Our JIB registered electricians have all been trained to the 17th edition wiring regulations and our apprentice training programme is also aligned with the requirements of the Joint Industry Board.
At PPS we actively support the continuous development of our employees.

Please can you pass on thanks from myself and Utilities to PPS for the excellent service received in support of the cable repair at North Group. We engaged JS following the fault identification and asked that the job was treated as a priority given the risk we are at with only a single electric supply to the north of site. JS responded immediately and were on site within 1 day. The guys worked the weekend in extremely hot conditions and excavated a large amount of material by hand with the ongoing works this week resulting in a new cable in and jointed. We couldn’t have achieved this timely repair without their support. Please make sure the guys receive the thanks and get the recognition for a job well done.
